I was sitting in Central Park this pass weekend enjoying the weather we were having, particularly because
it was a perfect day for skating. The temperature was near the mid 70s ideal for for getting your roll on.
The park here presents a great social environment hard pressed to find elsewhere in the city....If you are a skater
even more the better as there is a great comonality among people of different backrounds and coming from
different walks of life.
Having fun and relaxation is the name of the game. For me it extends beyond the fun aspect of the sport.
The health benifits are tremendous. Now if you are looking to network this is the place to be.....
The girls are hot and if you are lucky, well I won't go there...
Now our environment has it usual characters who frequent the park on a weekly basis through out the year..
You might call them the backbone of the scene, and yes its never short of it's controversies and gossip.
Yet who really cares it's really about getting your roll on. The skaters come from all levels of the sport. that
is novices to simi to pro levels and traditional to inliners. It's a free enviroment and rules are some times
applyed but that is required in any society where there is enterplay among people.....
